My Teaching Philosophy
My philosophy is quite simple, there is no such thing as one golf swing for everyone. I pride myself on being able to apply the correct swing principles to each person based their physical and psychological make up.
I have one other basic belief, golf lessons should be enjoyable as well as informative. Bottom line, my students improve! What may be even more important is that I want them to enjoy the process of practicing and improving their game.
I work with all ages and skill levels of students.
Family and group lessons are very popular.
My Story
I have been playing golf since 1974 and turned professional in 1990 after winning the 1989 Maryland Amateur Stroke Play Championship. From 1990 until 1995, I spent most of my time playing competitive golf. Thanks to the support of my wife Monica I was able to pursue my dream of becoming a PGA Professional.
In 2004, I came on board as a golf professional for Ruggles Golf Course at Aberdeen Proving Ground. I am currently the Head PGA Professional. Prior to this, I was at the Churchville Golf facility for 8 years. I was the Head Coach of the Men's Varsity Golf Team at Harford Community College for 8 seasons. I currently teach the non credit golf classes as well as the summer Junior Camps for HCC.
Through the years, I have been fortunate to give thousands of lessons. Playing golf can be a great joy as well as a great escape. I hope you give me the chance to help you to enjoy this great game even more by letting me help you improve your game.

Ruggles Golf Course
Teaching Facilities
All lessons are given at Ruggles Golf Course. Ruggles is an 18 hole championship course with a large grass practice range, practice putting green and practice bunker.
Playing lessons are played on a championship course with 5 sets of tees. Ruggles also has large greens with lots of short game options.
